Gandhi Tribute in Amsterdam Brings Peace Advocates Together

Peace advocates from Indian and Dutch communities gathered in Amsterdam for a commemoration Human Rights of Gandhi’s legacy, bringing together the Gandhi Global Family and the Church of Scientology Netherlands around peace, non-violence and human dignity.

Taking place beside the Mahatma Gandhi monument on Amsterdam’s Churchilllaan, the event included Ram Mohan Rai, General Secretary of Gandhi Global Family, Scientology representatives and human rights advocates. Participants also discussed future cooperation in human rights education and youth engagement.

The Church of Scientology’s support for human rights education is inspired by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who encouraged Scientologists to support initiatives advancing fundamental human rights.

Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Amsterdam meeting as an example of civic responsibility across cultures, stressing that knowledge of human rights can help younger generations contribute to peaceful societies.
